Viva Napoli Tarantella concert

The Vesuvius Ensemble will perform delightful and engaging traditional Italian songs in the dialects from the Italian countryside which have been passed on from generation to generation and still celebrated today. This is a thoroughly enjoyable evening with love, mischief, and pathos weaving in and out of beautifully performed Italian music.

Vesuvius Ensemble is North America’s first traditional music group dedicated to the preservation and transmission of the enormous cultural legacy made up by the popular cultural traditions in the zone around Naples and southern Italy. This legacy includes the cultural and musical traditions of countryside peasants, whose rituals and songs been passed on orally and in writing over centuries.

Come hear tarantellas from ancient and modern Italy with Francesco Pellegrino, Elisa Citterio, and the Vesuvius Ensemble as your guides! The energy of the tarantella makes this a thrilling and enjoyable evening of dance music for the festa.

Pick up your complimentary tickets at the Isabel box office on the evening to the performance under the name Later Life Learning.
