Series B  - Winter 2020 - LIFESTYE MEDICINE.

LIFESTYE MEDICINELifestyle medicine is a unique approach to the whole person, focussing on lifestyle changes to enhance and prevent disease. The SIX pillars of Lifestyle Medicine will be addressed: Whole-Food Plant Based Lifestyle, Physical Activity, Stress Reduction, Sleep, Reduction of Harmful Substances and Positive Relationships, and Gene Therapy. The information presented will be general in nature and based on scientific evidence. All lectures will be given by Roman Moretti, a pharmacist with twenty years of experience. He has completed the American College Lifestyle Medicine Core Competency Course 1ST and 2nd edition. He is currently a member of the Medication De-escalation Subcommittee of the American College of Lifestyle Medicine. He will be assisted by Kathleen Pratt, Social Worker and Yoga Teacher Co- Leaders of Kingston Whole- Food Plant –Based Group. One of the Pods of A Plant Pure Community.

Cost:

Series B – $70/person, 5 lectures
Series A & B- $130.00 per person

Single Lectures: Lectures may have available seats at $20.00. Call ahead for single availability.

Where and when:

All lectures start at 10am and are held at Crossroads United Church, 690 Sir John A. Macdonald Blvd unless otherwise stated. See "Things You Should Know" section on homepage for other routine details.

About Presenter:

 Roman Moretti graduated from the University of Manitoba's Pharmacy Program in 1997. He became a Manitoba Pharmacist in 1997 and an Ontario Pharmacist in 1999. He has worked in hospital, retail and clinic pharmacies over the years. He has completed the first and second editions of the American College of Lifestyle Medicine Core Competencies and is in the process of completing the Plant-Based Nutrition Certificate from E-Cornell University. He will have finished the course before the Later Life Learning Lectures begins and has  completed the Continuing Education Credits from the Physicians Committee of Responsible Medicine for the last three years.
